I helped my mother with a charity auction last weekend and it was hosted in the most gorgeous building. It had that wonderful calm, creepy aesthetic and I ran around most of the night taking photos.

The basement containing old bank vaults and dark, dusty rooms was even superior to the hosting space, in my opinion.

Autumn is finally here.
I made apple butter two days ago.

Even though fall is most certainly in the air, my basil is still sticking around and going strong. However, I can't say the same about these tomatoes...
Our neighbors have been in the giving spirit lately and we've been overwhelmed with tomatoes the past few weeks. We couldn't manage to eat them all and they succumbed to some nasty mold.

Coffee and pumpkins.

Autumn is my absolute favorite season. The crispness in the air, the scent of decaying leaves, the pumpkins, hayrides, and apple-picking make me ecstatic.
At the grocery store last night, I passed this little pumpkin in the produce section and couldn't resist adding it to my basket.

This is also the perfect time of year to begin wearing scarves. I have about ten hand-knitted ones from last season [thanks to my aunt], but I adore this one in particular.

I'm terrible with introductions, and inaugural posts are always horrible, so I'll begin by saying, hi, my name is Kara.
This endeavor is to showcase my creations, as well as other findings I deem interesting enough to display. Words aren't really my forte, so I'll try to keep it short and sweet when I'm able.

I took the above picture last week in the school's library, because sometimes I choose books over PE class. It's not my best effort but I'm hoping to improve through practice, practice, practice! And a Photography Communications class doesn't hurt either.
